An open letter to my volunteers, supporters and fellow candidates…

Dear All,

The election process for candidates seeking public office is a long and arduous time. The demands on the candidate and their family are grueling but this is made easier by those who have volunteered their time to support their candidate of choice.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to my supporters and volunteers for all they have done to bolster my campaign for Osceola County Property Appraiser. Your hours of commitment, advice, encouragement, and financial support made me proud to be part of the American tradition to seek election as a servant for the people. Without your help, we would not have accomplished as much as we did with limited resources.

To all those candidates who are moving on to the general election and those who are not, I send my best wishes. Please continue to help our community and nation as we go through these difficult economic times. Seek out new solutions to overcome our problems, remain dedicated to your goals and find ways to help where it is needed.

I have enjoyed meeting those voters who took the time to listen to my ideas and have heard your concerns. I will continue to be an advocate for you and look for ways where I can help resolve those areas that need corrections.

This past week we have picked up many of my campaign signs but some are still missing, both large signs and yard signs. If you have any or know where some may be, please contact me so I can pick them up. I would like to do my part to keep our county looking beautiful. Also, I have promised the stands to a few of the other candidates and will retain the signs.

An open letter to the citizens of Osceola County . . .

I have enjoyed living in Osceola County close to 30 years. Seeing it grow as a diverse group of residents fill our cities and bring new businesses to the area. During this entire time, I have been working in the real estate appraisal field; for the Osceola County Property Appraiser or as a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.

I enjoy working in this profession with a passion and train other appraisers to hone their skills. The combination of market trends, mathematics, architecture and business aptitude provide a challenge and stimulus necessary to keep this work rewarding.

Over the years, we have seen the housing market rise and fall on a repeating cycle. Overall, market values have increased and decreased within acceptable ranges and with modest time period. This time, things are different.

The complexity of our economic times will require us to re-evaluate current methods and make difficult decisions. Changes must be employed utilizing integrity, honesty, compassion, and sound business experience. Our county deserves nothing less.
